By default, WordPress always includes a prefix to your archive (categories, tags, author, etc.) titles. For example, if you go to a category, you get the label “Category:” inserted just before the name of your category. For some people, this might now be visually pleasing to see.

This tutorial will show how to disable the prefix label for archives.
Note: We will be moving this to the labels section of the customizer in a future theme update.
- Go to Appearance > Customize > Blog Options.
- Go to the Show or Hide Settings section and check the box next to the Hide Prefix in Archive Page
- Click the Publish button.
