Use Blog Excerpts

This tutorial will show you how to change your blog summaries to use excerpts instead. This is useful if you want a consistent look at your blog home page (and categories). Excerpts will also hide all formatting and page elements from view.

1. Go to Appearance > Customize > Blog Options
2. Look for the Enable Blog Excerpts setting and toggle it to blue to use them.
3. You can also adjust the number of words used in your excerpts by moving the slider. If you want to revert back to the default setting, click on the circular grey arrow.
4. Click the Publish button.
